Reclaimed wood Art piece

Evanston South store display made with reclaimed materials.

Check out this amazing piece that my awesome husband created! It was made from totally reclaimed materials and scraps.
A little snippet from our store display project...

Materials:
Scrap metals and woods: old hardware, table legs, fence slats, tool and furniture parts
Wooden frame: recovered from an alley three blocks from the store
Letters: cut from old store shelving
Paint: leftover from another store project

Each scrap of metal, wood and fencing that shapes our Earth Day store emblem sign was recovered during several weeks of local scavenging. Green Mission Rep Andy used many of his 15-minute breaks to gather scrap treasures from alleys within five miles of our Evanston South store. A small team hand-cut, shaped, designed and painted these recycled pieces of our neighborhood into a handsome, multi-colored and -textured sign.

The husband and I have started a new business. We have been collecting, breaking down-tearing apart old shipping pallets and making furniture out of them! We'll have shelves, wine racks, tables, headboards, etc.. for sale at some point in the near future..stay tuned!

Coffee photography series

coffee series #1

I've been taking photos of my fancy-schmancy coffee drinks for a couple of years now. This series are drinks from one of my favorite vegan friendly diners in Chicago called Pick Me Up cafe.

Rocky & Rilo

My 2 best pals, Rocky & Rilo, our 2 rescued pit bulls.

Hello.

So...
I've finally caved. I've started blogging and I've vowed to myself that I'm going to  keep up with this. I've started so many blogs in the past and they have fallen by the wayside. There are so many things going on in my hectic life as of lately! This seems like the perfect platform to keep those things organized.
Exciting things on the horizon...
In the meantime check out my shop:
